Ready to conquer those tough climbs?

Join us for a skills session focused on technical climbing and learn the techniques needed to successfully climb steep, rooty, loose, and challenging terrain with more confidence and control. This clinic will cover body positioning, balance, gearing, momentum, line choice, traction management, and efficient climbing techniques to help you clean climbs that may have previously felt impossible.

Riders will progress gradually through a variety of terrain in a supportive and encouraging environment designed to build both skill and confidence.

Gain the tools and confidence to tackle technical climbs with success and keep riding farther and stronger on the trails!

Dates & Time

  • Monday, July 6, 2026

  • 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

  • Location will be provided to all participants a few days prior to the clinic date.

Prerequisites

Mandatory: Each participant is required to have taken a skills clinic or lesson where they have learned and put into practice the fundamentals. Participants are required to understand body positioning, shifting, braking, looking where you want to go, and be able to preform bike body separation.

All participants are required to have a mountain bike in good working order (no hybrids or commuters). Absolutely no kickstands, toe cages, panniers or racks are permitted. Please review the FAQ for additional details on What to Wear/Bring.

Format

Each lesson will start in an open field with an introduction to the skill, static demo, on-bike demo, and participant practice. Each participant will then be evaluated for further skill advancement.

Important Notes!

  • This clinic is for Beginner+ to Intermediate riders. Review the Level Descriptions to ensure this clinic is right for you.

  • Minimum 8 participants required.

  • Groups may be combined to meet minimums and result in a co-ed group.

  • Certified instructors (PMBI/BICP Level 1 or 2) and experienced mountain bikers as assists.

  • Understand the Cancellation Policies.

  • Clinics listed are for folks who identify as woman, man, and non-binary. We have coaches and assists who identify as she, he, and they. Please reach out if you have any concerns or questions about participating.
