Experience
I started mountain biking seriously about nine years ago, after deciding to take my bike with me on a road trip to Utah and Colorado. (Before then my bike sadly spent most of its life in the garage). ‘Can’t, riding that day’ is now my answer to most questions about my availability for any other activity.
Reason for Being Part of WOW
It was a women’s skills clinic here in Edmonton that had me dusting off my first set of wheels and falling head over heels for mountain biking. That clinic and others I’ve taken since have been so important to boosting my confidence and abilities on the trails. I’m super excited to help other people be more comfortable, have more fun, and build new skills on their bikes!
Favorite Mountain Biking Memory
The aforementioned road trip through Utah and Colorado! I rode Moab, Fruita, St George, Hurricane, Crested Butte, Palisade and other amazing spots! Can’t wait to get back to each some day.
Favorite Trail in Edmonton
Changes each season, depending on what I am working on! Selkirk Knights has been at the top of my list lately for its endless punchy climbs…
Personal Goal for the Season
My main goal is fun. But I’d also love to get faster in corners and tackle some bigger drops.
