DESCENDING STEEP TECH

Join us for a skill session focused on descending steep and technical terrain. Learn methods to improve line choice, balance, and stability on advanced terrain.

Prerequisites

Each participant is required to have taken a skills clinic or lesson where they have learned and put into practice the fundamentals. Participants are required to understand body positioning, shifting, breaking, looking where you want to go, and be able to attempt bike body separation.

All participants are required to have a mountain bike in good working order (no hybrids or commuters). Absolutely no kickstands, toe cages, panniers or racks are permitted. You will be asked to remove these items and it will impact the time you have to learn.

Please review the FAQ for additional details on What to Wear/Bring.

Format

Each lesson will start with an introduction to the skill, static demo, on-bike demo, and participant practice. Each participant will then be evaluated for further skill advancement.
