women on wheels
Who we are
Women on Wheels YEG is a mountain club for women of all experience levels.
Our goal is to encourage more women to ride and offer a social and encouraging environment with a focus on skill development and instructional trail rides. We ride together (always - no one is left behind) and will spend time on a trail section coaching how to ride it properly and safely.
We hit the trails in and around Edmonton on Wednesday evenings. Check the Calendar for the rides and events!
Our main sponsor is Revolution Cycle (Revo) with event space, in-store discounts plus more. Specialized Canada continues to offer support through social media, custom jersey and water bottle designs. SMITH Optics and Finish Line Lube via Outdoor Gear Canada are new this year with product discount and swag, respectively.
We also believe in supporting other Edmonton women’s only cycling groups including: SheShreds - Women's Mountain Biking, Cranky’s Women’s Rides, Women of ERTC, Bell Joy Ride, and YEG Road Girls (just to name a few).
Six years ago, we started out with one ride a week for a handful of beginner riders. Now we offer skills development and instructional trail rides for both beginner and intermediate riders. We've also added skills clinics and some seriously fun events.
We have been riding or active within the cycling community for 30+ years combined. With no sign of stopping anytime soon!
Our ride leaders each bring an individuality to our community. The ladies are experienced riders and love to share their passion for the support.
Our team is growing and we are excited to introduce our leaders soon!
